Lucknow: After the promotion of IAS officers in Uttar Pradesh, the IPS officers are waiting for their new postings. Seven IPS officers of the 1998 batch have been promoted from IG to ADG. The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has promoted seven IG rank officers to ADGs.

1998 batch IPS officer Bhagwan Swaroop IG Intelligence has become ADG Intelligence after promotion. IPS Amit Chandra IG PAC West Zone Moradabad has become ADG PAC West Zone Moradabad. IPS Piyush Modia Joint CP Law and Order Lucknow Police Commissionerate have become ADG from IG rank. IPS Suvedra Kumar Bhagat (SK Bhagat) IG Police has become ADG Police. IPS BD Palson IG and Secretary Home have become ADG on the same post but can also be made ADG somewhere in the field. IPS KS Narayan IG Varanasi has become ADG in Varanasi. IPS Padmaja Chauhan has become ADG in the same post.
