UP bypolls results will make partial difference on votes’ arithmetic

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state that has been making significant contributions to the country’s politics, is also going to play a decisive role in the upcoming presidential election.

On the basis of the vote value of MPs and MLAs, the BJP alliance has the upper hand over all the opposition parties here. The results of the by-elections for which voting concluded on Thursday in two parliamentary seats will also have a slight impact on the vote strength of the parties.

Notably, there are 403 assembly members in UP, while 80 MPs and 31 Rajya Sabha members are elected from here. The value of the vote of an MP is 700, so the total value of the votes of the LS members in UP, with eighty parliamentary seats, is 56000. On the basis of the results of these seats, the exact calculation of the vote strength of the MPs of the parties will be possible. However, if one looks at the possibilities of the results, if BJP wins both the seats, then the count of its MPs will reach the figure of 66-(64 BJP and 2 Apna Dal (S)
