Veteran actor Mumtaz recalls a shocking request a fan made to her while interacting

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Mumtaz is a yesteryear beauty that still makes people swoon. The actor may have not been in films for decades now, but the love for her among her fans remains the same. The actor loves to keep away from the limelight and is rarely in the news for anything out of the ordinary but she recently recalled an extraordinary moment she shared with a fan that left her speechless.

Mumtaz recalled, "I was at an apparels store shopping, when an India couple spotted me and approached me. They seemed super-excited to see me. The wife said, ‘We are your biggest fans. Would you do us a favour?’ I though she wanted a selfie. But her request was something completely unexpected."

"She said, ‘M’aam, would you give my husband a hug. His life’s dream would come true. I found the request very unusual. But I agreed. They went away happy," the actor revealed.

Mumyaz further mentioned how she feels that interaction with fans is very necessary. She said, "Fans are the ones who have made me what I am. That they remember me to this day fifty years after I quit acting, says something about my enduring relationship with my fans. They approach me wherever I go. They tell me I still look beautiful. It is very motivating."
