Vivek Agnihotri throws shade at Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in a new tweet
Mumbai (Maharashtra): Bollywood is one of the oldest film industries in India and it has gone through a lot in all these years. After suffering a series of flops at the box office recently, films like Gangubai Kathiawadi, The Kashmir Files and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 have done pretty well, critically and commercially. But there are some superstars made by Bollywood that are bigger than their movies. These stars are the ones who took the industry to its highest success.
But recently, with the widespread negativity about Bollywood, people do not shy away from spreading their hatred online. Director Vivek Agnihotri who received recognition through the success of The Kashmir Files has also become famous for his outspoken and unfiltered opinions as well. The filmmaker always puts forward his views no matter how controversial they are. Similarly, when a news publication posted an article on ‘Why Shah Rukh Khan is still King of Bollywood’ the filmmaker had some opinions to pass.
As long as Bollywood has Kings, Badshahs, Sultans, it will keep sinking. Make it people’s industry with people’s stories, it will lead the global film industry. #FACT https://t.co/msqfrb7gS3— Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri (@vivekagnihotri) July 14, 2022
Replying to the tweet of the news publication, Vivek wrote, “As long as these King, Badshah and Sultan remain in Bollywood, Hindi cinema will continue to sink. If you make it a people’s industry with the help of people’s stories, then only it will be able to lead the global film industry. This is a fact.”
He targeted Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan indirectly with his tweet when he mentioned Badshah and Sultan. While many agreed with the filmmaker, several others disagreed and trolled him while stating not to be jealous of their success. Both the superstars have not reacted to the tweet as of yet.
