Where is Amritpal Singh? Arrest remains a suspense

Chandigarh: Situation is tense across Punjab with internet connection being snapped in parts of the State till 12 noon on Sunday. Hours after news reports of self-styled preacher and Khalistan sympathiser Amritpal Singh being arrested after a high-intensity car chase, Punjab Police said that Khalistan sympathiser is still on the run. A total of 78 persons have been arrested and several detained so far in connection with crackdown launched against Amritpal Singh and his aides, added Punjab Police. “Several others including Amritpal Singh are on the run and a massive manhunt has been launched to nab them,” cops added.

However, a source, close to Punjab Police told First India that Amritpal Singh has been arrested and for security reasons this news is being kept confidential from media.
