Will Shraddha take Madhuri’s place in the remake of Tezaab?

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Shraddha Kapoor currently has her calendar packed with shooting schedules as she has some interesting projects under her wing. While she is busy shooting for Luv Ranjan’s untitled rom-com with Ranbir Kapoor, she further has the Chalbaaz remake and Nikhil Advani’s project where she will be seen playing a Naagin. Now, according to a report by India Today, she has been now approached for the remake of the hit classic, Tezaab. It was previously confirmed that the hit 1988 Anil Kapoor-Madhuri Dixit starrer is being remade by producer Murad Khetani.

A source close to the development stated, “The makers were looking for a reliable name and a fresh Jodi for the cast of Tezaab remake. Shraddha and Kartik have not shared onscreen space together so far and if things work out, this is a pair they would like to bet on.” Reportedly, Shraddha is considering the project but has yet to give her nod to the film.

Meanwhile, Kartik too has an array of projects in the pipeline. He has Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo’s Hindi remake ‘Shehzada’ with Kriti Sanon, SatyaPrem ki Katha with Kiara Advani, Hansal Mehta’s ‘Captain India’, Shashanka Ghosh’s ‘Freddy’ with Alaya F and many other untitled projects.
