Garuda exercise between IAF & France starts in Jodhpur

Jodhpur: The joint exercise Garuda between the Air Force of India and France has taken off in Jodhpur. Through this maneuver, pilots of both Air Forces will share their experiences with each other. The maneuvers of the Air Force differ from the maneuvers of the ground Army in many aspects. In this, unlike the army, ammunition is not used, instead, technology is used the most. In this maneuver also, attacks are made on target, but through dummy missiles.

Everything gets recorded as to how accurate the dummy missile was. After coming back to the ground, it is checked by extracting the data. After this, all the pilots are told about their shortcomings.

Prior to the Garuda series, there were six maneuvers that wree done between the Air Forces of both countries. Three of them happened in India and three in France.
