Hoping to rake-in ‘MAHA-MOOLAHS’, Shinde leaves for Davos

Mumbai: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde left from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport for Davos on Monday to take part in the World Economic Forum conference. During this, the Chief Minister will hold discussions with the heads of various industries and financial groups at the global level. It is believed that through this, he will get MoUs signed to the tune of 1.40 lakh crore rupees with 20 industries.

It has also been said on this occasion that this is the first time that agreements are being signed on such a large scale. Shinde will interact with eminent investors from around the world and heads of several large industries over the progress of Maharashtra. During this visit, he will attend the two-day conference on January 16 and 17 and will be accompanied by Industries Minister Uday Samant and senior officials.

The conference will run till January 20 and discussion regarding the upcoming beauty industry spread across the globe will also take place.

The government is also trying to increase foreign investment in Maharashtra. Along with this, this visit of the Chief Minister will be important in the backdrop of the planning of the state’s ambitious industry conference ‘Magnetic Maharashtra Convergence’ to be held next month. where about 2500 delegates from more than 100 countries will participate. Shinde inaugurated the Maharashtra Pavilion at Davos at a prime location and right opposite the Indian pavilion. After that there were some partnership agreements with some important industries. Notably, the head of the Center for New Economy and Society and Urban Transformation of the World Economic Forum will also meet the Chief Minister.
