15 RETAIL LICENCES CANCELLED FOR ILLEGAL SALE OF AVIL DRUG

Jaipur: Drug Controller Organisation has cancelled the licences of 15 retail shops for the misuse of Avil drug in Jaipur.

The action, which came after First India flashed the news about the misuse of the drug, was taken under the supervision of Drug commissioner Pukhraj Sen a few days back.

During the action, several irregularities were found in the purchase and sale of the drug. After approval of drug controller Ajay Fatak, action against the shops intensified and ADC Anil Agrawal, Rakesh Verma and Subhash Chandra cancelled the licence of 15 shops.

The NCB has also arrested renowned psychiatrist Dr Anil Tambi nearly a month after raid at his house. A large number of NDPS category medicines were also seized in the raid. After the arrest, Tambi was produced in the link court of NDPS court, from where he was sent to jail for 14 days.
