3,000 new houses given despite Covid: Dhariwal

Jaipur: Urban Development and Housing, and Local Self-Government Minister Shanti Dhariwal said on Wednesday that despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the State Government has given possession of 3,000 new houses in 15 small towns. The possession of 576 houses has been given under the CM Shikshak Aur Prehari Housing Scheme and 4500 houses constructed under the CM Jan Awas Yojana are also ready to be handed over. Apart from this, 340 residences in AIS Residency I and II, 160 in SS Residency, 300 in Studio Apartments are under construction.

“During the tenure of the present government, more than 13,500 new houses have been made available to the common people,” Dhariwal said at the launching of residential and commercial schemes for more than 4500 flat-villas in 17 cities of 14 districts of the state.

Dhariwal said that the public’s faith in the Housing Board has been restored. “Now three to five times applications are being received in every scheme. In the last 4 years, 14 thousand 500 surplus houses were sold by the board and 12 thousand 500 new houses are being made available to the general public,” he said.

Meanwhile, RHB Commissioner Pawan Arora said that for the first time the Housing Board has brought a plan of state-of-the-art independent villas and 4 BHK luxury flats in Jaipur on the lines of private sector.

He informed that up to 90 percent bank loan facility is also being made available by the banks for the consumers.
