ACB raids five locations of SOG AdSP Divya, mobile phone seized

Jaipur: SOG AdSP Divya Mittal, arrested by the ACB, had herself spoke to the complainant first seeking Rs 2 crore and then Rs 1 crore after the complainant expressed his inability to pay so much amount. The complainant agreed to pay only Rs 10 lakh, said an ACB official. Mittal is learnt to have told the complainant, “This is not a shop of any baniya. This money has to be taken to highups also. Carried.” Finally the deal was fixed for Rs 50 lakh. Rs 25 lakh were to be paid the same day and Rs 25 lakhs after the marriage of the complainant’s sister.

“Meanwhile, after the ASP issued a notice to him, the complainant reached her office in Ajmer where she demanded Rs 50 lakh to settle the matter. She said that he will have to give Rs 25 lakh on the same day and the remaining Rs 25 lakh after February 11,” the sources said.

After some time, the same middleman called the complainant and asked him to give Rs 25 lakh at the Ajmer bypass. “The trap failed because the middleman did not come to take the money following which a case was registered against the additional SP for demanding the bribe,” the officer said.

A search operation was conducted simultaneously at all the locations of Divya Mittal. The search operation was carried out in front of Divya’s flat in ARG Society on Jaipur Road in Ajmer. Apart from Ajmer, raids were held at 5 places in Jaipur, Udaipur & Jhunjhunu.

The ACB also seized Mittal’s phone to investigate Mittal’s conversation as with whom and for how long talk lasted.
