ACS Agarwal asks officials to speed up JJM work

Jaipur: The number of daily water connections (FHTCs) under the Jal Jeevan Mission increased to 10,175 on February 20. Earlier, on February 19, 9,501 water connections were made in a single day. The average number of connections in the last one week has been more than 8,000.

The figures came to fore in the review meeting of the department held by Subodh Agarwal, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Health Engineering. He instructed the field engineers to increase the pace of the mission and achieve the set target.

It was informed in the meeting that a total of 1 lakh 45 thousand 593 connections have been made in JJM so far in February and Rs 6,618 crore have been spent so far in this financial year. Jhalawar district has made maximum 68 per cent water connections, Bhilwara is second with 64 per cent and Chittorgarh is at third with 62 per cent.
