Jaipur: After spending nearly twenty four hours in Jaipur, Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi returned from the Pink City to Lucknow on Tuesday morning by Indigo flight at 8:50 am. Prior to leaving, Priyanka reportedly held a small discussion with CM Gehlot as well at the Jaipur airport.

After Priyanka left, Chief Minister Gehlot, in a conversation with the media at the airport, wished all the women of the country and the state on International Women’s Day.

Gehlot said that there have been strong women like Indira Gandhi in this country who started the eradication of poverty and implemented the Green Revolution. “She made Bangladesh a separate country, conducted nuclear tests. She has been a great example of women empowerment.

Today women are moving ahead in every field in the country,” Gehlot said and extended congratulations to former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on her birthday falling on Tuesday.

Regarding the exit poll results for UP polls, CM Gehlot said that today the common man is being divided into religion and caste.

“These people (BJP leaders) talk of Congress-mukt Bharat, but it can never happen. Because Congress is settled within the people of the country,” Gehlot said.

“They have never had faith in it in the past, doesnot have today or will ever have in future,” Gehlot said. CM said that there is no place to do politics in the name of religion in democracy, but BJP in engaged in politics in the name of religion by only instigating people, which is not right.

“Doing politics in the name of religion will divide the country into Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian population. It is one thing to come to power by instigating people in the name of religion, but taking all religions and classes along is a different thing and also a challenge,” Gehlot said.

Congress Mukt Bharat’ claim, the CM said that the dream of those who talk of Congress Mukt Bharat will never be fulfilled as there is Congress in every house. Those who talk of Congress-mukt Bharat will themselves be liberated, he said.
