BJYM protests over paper leaks in State

Jaipur: BJP State president Satish Poonia on Saturday attacked the Gehlot-led Cong govt in Rajasthan over a string of paper leaks in recent months, calling it a betrayal of State’s youths. BJP leaders do politics of struggle and have cornered govt over every issue, said Satish Poonia as he addressed BJP workers and leaders at a protest organised by BJYM against paper leaks. “This protest is just a trailer, film is yet to be released.”

After the address outside the party office, BJP leaders and BJYM workers marched towards the Civil Lines railway crossing to gherao the Chief Minister’s Residence but the police stopped them near the Civil Lines Gate. There was a scuffle between the BJP workers and the police. During this, the police had to use water cannons to control the crowd. After this the police detained all the leaders including Satish Poonia and Rajendra Rathore. Deputy LoP Rajendra Rathore and Rajya Sabha MP Ghanshyam Tiwari also addressed the protest organised by BJYM against paper leaks in State. BJYM Prez Himanshu Sharma said Cong govt was scared of Assembly gherao and adjourned it a day before. “But we have been raising our voice on issues like paper leak, unemployment, and will continue to do so,” he said.
