BVG serves Rs 600 cr notice to JMCG

Jaipur: BVG company which was engaged in door-to-door garbage collection has served a notice of Rs 597 crores to Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation. The Municipal Corporation had terminated the contract of BVG in the month of June but there was a tussle between the Corporation and BVG regarding the payment. The corporation did not make the payment to the company therefore the company took the matter to arbitration. The hearing in the matter will be held before the arbitrator, retired Supreme Court Justice RM Lodha. Earlier, a notice for recovery of arrears of Rs 597 crore was sent to the Corporation. After the contract was terminated, the corporation is getting the door-to-door garbage collection done at the zone level and has signed an agreement with a new company.
