CM honours freedom fighters at their homes

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot visited freedom fighters at their houses and honored them by garlanding, wearing a shawl on the eve of Independence day. He also hoisted the national flag at their residences. Gehlot reached the house of freedom fighter Ramu Saini in Dadudayal Nagar in Mansarovar and honored him. Both of them lit a lamp in front of the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, paid floral tributes to him and hoisted the national flag.

After this, the Chief Minister visited Umrao Singh at his residence in Ganesh Nagar on Niwaru Road. CM Gehlot hoisted the national flag at his residence. The chief minister also met freedom fighter Subhadra Kumar Patni in C-Scheme. Gehlot said that the contribution of these freedom fighters in the freedom struggle of India can never be forgotten. “They participated in the freedom struggle in their young age and fought for freedom. It is because of them that we are breathing the air of freedom today,” he said. “It is our duty to pay respect to the freedom fighters who contributed to the freedom struggle by reaching out to their homes,” he said. PCC chief Govind Singh Dotasra, Jaipur collector Prakash Rajpurohit and others also were present during the visits.
