Defaulters’ assets to be auctioned post Sept 30, warns Excise Commissioner

Jaipur: Excise Commissioner Kumarpal Gautam wrote a letter to District Excise Officers of all districts regarding the Amnesty scheme that is valid till Sept 30.

The Excise department is running a special campaign to recover old dues. Property of defaulters will be auctioned across the State.

An amount of Rs 256 crore 31 March 2021 is outstanding. For this, the department has implemented the scheme, under which interest will be waived on depositing the outstanding amount.

Also, there will be a rebate of 25 per cent to 95 per cent in the principal dues. An amount of Rs 1,166 crore was outstanding on April 1, Rs 1,076 crore still outstanding.
