DGCA stays use of parking way at Jaipur airport

Jaipur: There is a big hurdle regarding flight operations at Jaipur International Airport as the DGCA has banned the use of parking ways on the Tango taxi near runway end number 9. There is already a shortage for parking of planes at the airport. The Airport Authority of India had built parking ways here. A total of 19 parking ways were constructed. However, their commissioning work is yet to be completed. Security reasons have been considered responsible for this. However, during Covid, the airport administration started using them. Initially, it was used only for flights originating from Delhi. But now it is being used for regular flights also. Along with this, parking of non-scheduled flights was also being done on these parking ways. The DGCA team had recently visited Jaipur International Airport and considered security reasons here as a hindrance in commissioning approval. The houses are built adjacent to the airport wall just behind the parking way. The wires, houses of many colonies of Tonk Road were opened on this side.
