Drop in power demand due to Holi, 600L units saved

Jaipur: The pleasant weather has brought relief to the power companies. Power consumption was about 600 lakh units less on Holi. On March 1, 3,010 lakh units of electricity were provided, and on March 7, 2,362 lakh units were supplied. On March 8, 2,329 lakh units of electricity was supplied. Power consumption decreased in many areas due to rain. However, officials said that the demand would increase and be between 2500-2600 lakh units.

Meanwhile, BK Agnihotri has been appointed Director, Finance at RVUNL while DC Jain as Director, Finance at RUVNL.
Interestingly, Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (RERC) had granted permission to RUVNL to extend the power purchase agreements (PPA) with six wind projects for five years.
