First Haj flight from Jaipur departs with 254 pilgrims

Jaipur: Family members hugging their loved ones and garlanding them with tears of joy during the see-off for the prosperous Haj journey, was the scene witnessed on Sunday before the departure of the first batch of Haj-2023 pilgrims.

The first convoy of Haj passengers left for the holy city of Medina in Saudi Arabia from the Heritage International Terminal-1 in the city. In the first flight of Air India Dreamliner aircraft, 254 Haj pilgrims from Jaipur and other districts left. Chairman of the Rajasthan State Haj Committee, Amin Kagzi congratulated the pilgrims and sent them off for the journey. However, no minister of the State Government reached here.

Before the flight flag-off and before the departure of the journey, the security personnel stopped Amin Kagzi and other members in the apron area. Citing security, Amin Kagzi flagged off the passengers from inside the terminal hall at the end of the terminal.
