Gehlot extends home guards’ contract from 5 to 15 years

Jaipur: Fulfilling the long-standing demand of Home Guards and Home Guard Volunteers, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced to increase the contract renewal period from 5 to 15 years. He said that the State Government has been committed to make the Home Guard a strong and efficient organization from the very beginning.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, on Thursday, inaugurated the new administrative building of Directorate of Home Guards at Vidyadhar Nagar. Built on 1,250 square meters of land at a cost of Rs 12.83 crore, this new building has facilities like VC room, auditorium, computer lab, yoga room, library etc. apart from rooms for officers. PWD Minister BL Jatav, who was present in the event, said that the State government is paying special attention to infrastructure and this Home Guard building is also an achievement in this series. Absence of Dept’s Minister Rajendra Gudha who made statements against his own govt, was also a matter of discussion.
