In a first, 27 flights diverted to Jaipur, 4 pilots denied to fly
Jaipur: For the first time in the history of Jaipur airport, 27 aircraft were diverted simultaneously from New Delhi in a span of 4 hours due to bad weather. Moreover, the pilots of 4 flights refused to fly the planes during the night on Friday, which affected 4,000 passengers of the 27 flights.
The process of arrival of planes started at Jaipur airport from 9.45 pm on Friday night and continued till 12 am. One flight was also diverted to Jaipur early Saturday morning at 3:55 am. The diverted flights included Air India’s Visakhapatnam to Delhi, IndiGo’s Agartala to Delhi, Go First’s Mumbai to Delhi, Air Asia’s Pune to Delhi and so on.
