In a first, Budget’s sanctity wasn’t maintained: BJP
Jaipur: The Opposition BJP targeted Congress govt over the State Budget presented by CM Ashok Gehlot while alleging that it was for the first time that the sanctity of the budget was not maintained.
LoP GC Kataria said that the CM, who also holds the finance portfolio, started reading without realizing anything. “He did not understand the sanctity of the budget. It was our objection. Ultimately, the Speaker accepted it,” he said. Dy LoP Rajendra Rathore said that Rs 130 crores were spent in 2 days in the name of advertisement. “The sanctity of the budget is lost only then,” he said.
BJP State President Satish Poonia said, “The State Budget has failed to live up to peoples’ expectations.”
