Jaipur: ISRO organises Science exhibit for school students, sees major turn up

Jaipur: ISRO organized a three day Science exhibit at JECRC University, Jaipur, and the first day was adorned with admired mind-blowing history and innovations of ISRO.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Honorable Chief Guest Padma Shri Dr A S Kiran Kumar (Member, Space Commission (Government of India) and Former Chairman, Indian Space Research Organisation), young Scientists and astronauts. ISRO is set to inspire the upcoming astronauts and scientists. Various models were displayed explaining various topics, the initial satellites such as Aryabhatta, Bhaskar and APPLE & SROSS to show the initial days of ISRO as these satellites were launched from the USSR. Working models were presented to showcase types of orbits, Polar Orbits RS self scanning and more.

The prominent ‘Chandrayaan’ and ‘Mangalyaan’ models were exhibited to explain ways to reach these celestial bodies, the success in the first attempt of the Mangalyaan, 3D mapping them. Many more models are there for the future projects Aditya, Chandrayan-2, Ganganyaan, NISAR. Dr.Kiran Kumar, in his speech, talked about the space innovations and wonders ISRO has registered till the date.He discussed the journey of space with various examples. More than 12,000 school children of Rajasthan were present at the exhibition.

The event also organized exclusive workshops on diversified career fields. The highlights of the event were documentaries and exhibitions of recently launched ISRO rockets and satellites, live water rocket launches, workshops, national quiz competitions.
