Jaipur: SIT team of Jaipur police was honoured by the High Court Bar Association on Tuesday for tracing and brinign back two minor daughters of an advocate Awadhesh Purohit.
The girls were recovered from Lucknow. The award ceremony was organized at Satish Chand Auditorium in the High Court premises.
Justice Ashok Kumar Gaur and Justice Inderjit Singh were the chief guest while Jaipur Police Commissioner Anand Srivastava was special guest.
All the 17 members of the SIT team including Additional Police Commissioner (crime) Ajaypal Lamba and DCP South Mridul Kachhawa were honoured. “It is a happy day for us. Such events boost morale of police.
Last year 371 girls went missing out of which 369 have been brought back,” said Srivastava. Mridul Kachhawa had led the team and went to Lucknow.
On this occasion, HC Bar Association President Bhuvnesh Sharma, General Secretary Girraj Prasad Sharma & hundreds of lawyers were present. The team also included RPS Karan Sharma.
