Man and girlfriend held in Jpr for extorting Rs 25L from businessman

Jaipur: A 26-year-old blackmailer and his girlfriend have been arrested for allegedly extorting Rs 25 lakhs from a businessman in Vishwakarma area. Police informed the accused has been identified as Rahul Bohra (26), a CA student and resident of Jhotwara and his girlfriend Priyanka (27), a resident of the Kardhani area. “The victim, Deepak, is a businessman in Jaipur. The accused blackmailed the victim and took Rs. 25 lakhs from him. However, the accused kept harassing the victim even after that and demanded more money. The victim then filed a police complaint and a trap was laid. On January 5, the victim went with fake currency notes of Rs. 23 lakhs and kept the bag on the spot. As soon as the accused came to pick up the bag, they were arrested by the police,” police said.
