NOW, FREE EDUCATION UP TO CLASS 12 UNDER RTE

Jaipur: Now the students of private schools up to class 12 will also get free education in the State. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved the proposal to reimburse the fees of the students studying under the Right to Education (RTE). Rs 46 crore will be spent on this, said an official statement.

Through RTE, there is a provision of free education only for the students of classes 1 to 8. In the last budget, Gehlot had made a provision to continue free education for girl students in private schools from class 9 to 12 at the expense of the state government. In this sequence, free education will be provided to students from class 1 to 12 on taking admission in private schools under RTE. The announcement in this regard was made by the CM in the budget for the year 2023-24.
