Pass resolution against Shekhawat, not us: CM to BJP

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday retaliated to the resolution passed against the Congress government by the BJP in its State Working Committee meeting in Nagaur on Saturday.

He questioned why the BJP was not passing resolution against Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. “If BJP has guts, then show it by passing a resolution against Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. Pass a resolution to the Prime Minister saying that there are allegations of corruption against this person and you should dismiss him from the cabinet,” said Gehlot while addressing the media after paying tributes to former PM Rajiv Gandhi on his his death anniversary at PCC office on Sunday.

“SOG has considered him an accused in the Sanjivani case. When the matter goes to the court, a decision will also be taken on it,” he said.

He said that the Rajasthan government has taken record action regarding corruption. “As soon as the BJP comes to power, their situation becomes like a hungry wolf. The way a hungry wolf gets to eat everything,” he quipped.
