PEOPLE DEMAND TO INCREASE OBC QUOTA

Jaipur: Kumawat Mahapanchayat was organized on Sunday at Vidyadhar Nagar Stadium in Jaipur. A large number of people of the society gathered to participate in the programme. Through the Mahapanchayat, the society demanded to increase OBC reservation from 21 to 27 percent.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also participated in this programme. Om Birla said that the history of Kumawat society is very old. Kumawat artisans are working hard in every corner of the country.

Tarachand Sirohia, the leader of the Kumawat community, said that there are 25 to 70 thousand voters of the Kumawat community in about 15 assembly constituencies in the state. “Besides, there are 10 to 25 voters in about 65 assembly constituencies and can play a decisive role in the elections. They must get political representation accordingly,” he said.
