Planning along with construction is key to success’

Jaipur: Rajasthan Housing Board Commissioner Pawan Arora said that comprehensive knowledge is basic mantra of success for a civil engineer. He said civil engineering students should not be limited to doing construction only on basis of drawing. “In the changing times, along with construction, they should also be aware of the nuances of building bylaws, architectural and landscaping, and the changes in the trend of building materials. Only then they will be able to achieve their position in this field of engineering,” he said while addressing civil engineering students and faculty members at the inauguration ceremony of the two-day ICI Fest-22 on behalf of the Civil Engineering Department at SKIT.

Housing Commissioner said, “A successful civil engineer is one who plays an active role in planning as well as execution. There is no alternative to hard work. Practice three ‘H’ (Hard Work, Honesty, Humbleness) and One ‘C’ (Compassion),” he exhorted. Earlier, SKIT Chairman Surjaram Meel said that Arora is a living example of positive change.
