PoW reaches Jaipur on first tour after 2.5-year Covid halt

Jaipur: The royal train Palace on Wheels reached Pink City on its first commercial tour on Thursday. After a long gap of two and a half years, the operation of the Palace on Wheels train has been started once again. The due for this goes to Tourism Corporation President Dharmendra Rathod, who made every effort to get the royal train back on track. Tourists of Palace on Wheels, who reached the city on the first commercial tour on Thursday, were accorded a grand traditional welcome at Gandhinagar station. On its first tour, 35 tourists from eight countries are travelling in the royal train. These include seven tourists each from India, America and Britain, four from Canada, three each from Mauritius and France, two from New Zealand and one from Ireland. These tourists were given a red carpet welcome at the railway station. The tourists were garlanded with tilak.
