Ranji Trophy 2nd season also cancelled due to increasing cases, 3rd season also uncertain

Jaipur: Effect of Corona is now clearly visible in sports in the country as well. This will be the first time in the history of Indian cricket that the biggest domestic tournament, the Ranji Trophy, has been canceled for the 2nd consecutive year.

Rajasthan cricketers had prepared for the tournament, but now the board has taken an in-principle decision to cancel Ranji Trophy. Rajasthan Cricket Association had made a lot of preparations for Ranji Trophy, but now not only the association but also players have given up hope.

Tournament was to start on Jan 13 but due to IPL, the Ranji Trophy does not seem to get a window in the domestic calendar. IPL is likely to start from April 2 & prior to that on March 20, players will go into the bio bubble.
