Rathore is new Leader of Oppn, Poonia his deputy

Jaipur: Deputy leader of Opposition in state assembly Rajendra Rathore, 68, was elevated to the post of Leader of Opposition while former BJP state chief Satish Poonia, 58, was made new Dy LoP on Sunday. The decisions were taken at a meeting chaired by state chief CP Joshi. “A grassroots worker like me has been elected as the LoP. A new responsibility has been assigned,” said Rathore, a 7-time MLA. Rathore’s name was proposed by Phool Singh Meena and approved by Vasundhara Raje, Anita Bhadel, Madan Dilawar, Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary. Rathore proposed Poonia’s name and all MLAs supported it. State incharge Arun Singh, coincharge Vijaya Rahatkar, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Kailash Choudhary and others were present.
