RHB’s Housing scheme for teachers and cops to be inaugurated on Sept 8

Jaipur: The Urban Development and Housing Minister Shanti Dhariwal will inaugurate the ‘Mukhyamantri Shikshak Avam Prahari Awaas Yojna’ developed by Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) at Pratap Nagar in Jaipur on Thursday, September 8 at 12.30 pm. During this, the UDH Minister, Education Minister, Minister of State for Home and other guests will hand over the possession letter and key of the flat to 5 teachers and 5 guards of the scheme. Before the launch, all the guests will also visit the newly constructed community building equipped with modern facilities by the Housing Board near this Housing Scheme.

Pace of work remained intact even in difficult conditions
RHB Commissioner Pawan Arora informed that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had announced this scheme on December 20, 2019. “Unfortunately, only twothree months after this announcement, the global pandemic of Corona hit us. Economic and development activities all over the world came to a standstill due to the lockdown. Even in such critical times, all the necessary works related to inviting applications and finalising the tender process were completed within a short span of only 5 months and UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal laid the foundation stone of the scheme on 27th May, 2020,” Arora said. Notably, despite Corona lockdown twice and adverse effect on construction and other activities for about 1 year after that, even in these difficult conditions, a total of 576 2BHK flats have been built in just two years. “Earlier it used to take 4 to 5 years for completion and handing over of possession to the allottees for all the multistorey projects of the Housing Board. This is the first time that possession letters and keys of the flat are being handed over to the allottee in a record time of just 2 years from the date of commencement of work,” Arora said.

Chief Minister and Urban Development Minister inspiration behind the scheme
The Housing Commissioner said that teachers have an important role in nation building and police personnel, in maintaining law and order. “With the inspiration of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal, the concept of this Housing Scheme for both these sections was prepared in Jaipur and the RHB gave it a shape. In this sequence, 501 flats have been allotted to teachers and 45 flats to constables and head constables. Six thirteen- storey towers have been built in the plan. 96 flats have been constructed in each tower. The total cost of the scheme has come to about Rs 98 crore,” Pawan Arora said.

2BHK housing in just `15 lakh 70,000
Arora said that according to CM’s intention, Board has provided teachers & guards, housing at a concessional rate of Rs 15 lakh 70,000 per flat. “The market price of this category of flats is Rs.24 to 26 lakh. Acc to CM’s announcement to give concession of 10 % to awardee teachers, an additional 10% discount has been provided to five awardee teachers allotted under the scheme,” Arora said.

State-of-the-art facilities provided
The Housing Commissioner informed that the scheme has adequate basement parking, swimming pool with changing room, abundant green area in all 6 blocks, luxurious synthetic basketball court, CCTV with surveillance, attractive entry gate, 24 hours Bisalpur water supply, Dedicated feeder for power supply, DG set for power backup, two lifts in each block, visitor lounge in each tower, adequate community spacing in each tower for the various social events, project area. On Monday, a large number of teachers and cops along with their families visited the site to see the flats allotted to them & the facilities available.
