SC judge Rastogi says case, time mgmt must to reduce pendency

Jaipur: Terming the increasing pendency of cases a major challenge, Supreme Court Judge Ajay Rastogi on Saturday said that instead of running away from the cases, lower courts should focus on the early disposals.

In a programme of Sanganer Bar Association, Rastogi said that all problem of pendency can be solved through case management and time management.

He was speaking on challenges before the judiciary and their solution at the programme held at Kasturi Bagh in Jagatpura.

Justice Ajay Rastogi said that when he became an advocate in 1982, there was a discussion about pendency and even after about forty years when he is a judge in the Supreme Court, the situation is the same and discussion is held on pendency.
