State funds worth Rs 3,913 crore stuck with Centre
Jaipur: While the implementation of the bumper budget announcements made by the Gehlot government seems challenging, on the other hand, the State’s share in centrally -aided schemes remains a headache. Even after repeatedly writing letters to the Centre, Rs 3,913 cr of 10 departments for this financial year are stuck. In such a situation, the CS has given time to the officers of the departments for one month. Along with this, she has instructed the concerned officers that they should go to Delhi themselves and get the amount released by meeting the officers of the level of Secretary, Joint Secretary in the Government of India or through other means.
Out of the funds, the maximum amount of Rs 1,253 crore is related to Panchayati Raj Department schemes. The Finance Commission has to help the rural local bodies with an amount of Rs 937.62 crore. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission of the same department, an amount of Rs 262.50 crore has not been released by the Union Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation under the Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan.
