State to bear addl expenses of Rs 1L for foreign travel

Jaipur: In a decision related to former and sitting MLAs, the State Government is likely to bear the cost of foreign travel of up to Rs 1 lakh for the MLAs. This amount will be in addition to the coupons received by all MLAs for traveling within the country and abroad. At present, MLAs get coupons of up to Rs 3 lakh and former MLAs up to Rs 25,000 for travel by train, plane and other means in the country and abroad. Now, after the approval of the Speaker, the government will make amendments related to the expenditure. This amendment will be for foreign trips made in addition to the coupons available to the MLAs. It is believed that the cabinet has approved the circular related to it in the Assembly. Besides, preparations are being made to table the Right to Health Bill also. The bill would ensure to protect the health of every citizen through free and subsidised medical facilities, medicines and tests at Government and private hospitals.
