Taking bribe for clearing dues worth Rs 24.5L, XEN, AEN of Agri Dept held
Jaipur: The ACB on Tuesday arrested the Executive Engineer Surendra Singh and Assistant Engineer Gulab Singh of Rajasthan Agriculture Department red-handed for taking a bribe of Rs 30,000. The bribe was sought in lieu of clearing bills of about Rs 24.50 lakh. The accused were demanding Rs 1.34 lakh as commission of 5.50 per cent of the total amount. The Bureau recovered Rs 5 lakh each from the residences of Surendra and Gulab. The officials also found three plots in Jaipur, one flat in Delhi, and 2 lockers, all related to Surendra. Similarly, during the search, three plots, three flats — two in Alwar and one in Jaipur’s Civil Line where he lives at present — were found to be linked to Gulab. The complaint was verified under supervision of DIG ACB Dr Vishnukant and ASP Jaipur City-II Rajpal Godara.
