MY DEAR ZINDAGI!

Tell us something about yourself.
I'm a Delhibased DOP/ Cinematographer & still photographer. Currently, I'm doing music videos, short films, fashion photoshoots & event shoots as Not2Raw which is a duo formed by me & my partner Glisson. Also, I like to do different things in life maybe that's why I chose this field and I enjoy what I do.

Where do you see yourself after the next 20 years?
I don't know where I see myself in 20 years it is a very long time. I'm the kind of person who believes in the present but yes I would love to see myself as an established DOP and make Not2Raw a brand.

How did your journey begin?
It's a funny story, a few years back I watched a movie called Dear Zindagi. In that movie, I heard the term cinematographer & that was the moment my journey as a cinematographer began. Also, I am a feminist so I had this thing in my mind that I wanted to do something different, something challenging and here I am.

What were some of the battles you fought and are still fighting in your journey?
The battle I'm still facing is many people still don't believe in me & take me seriously as a DOP. They have this misperception especially in India that a woman can't do much good at this job. Though my family is very supportive and appreciates me for every achievement.

Talk to us about your achievements.
I haven't achieved much yet but there is one achievement that I want to share. I have done more than 10 music videos in just 2 years of my career. I'm sure for many people it won't be considered an achievement but for me it is. Also, I had a chance to work with Badshah, Raga & many more brilliant artists. I feel so thankful and blessed.
