WINNERS EMBRACE HARD WORK

Creativity is the only thing you can’t buy. It’s something reflected from our soul to the outside world.

Tell us something about yourself.
My name is Anmol Singh and I am from Delhi. I studied at St. Stephen's College. However, I moved around a lot because my father has been in the Indian Army. I adore making clothing with unique banjara patches.

How did your journey begin?
As previously mentioned, my dad served in the military and while we were in Rajasthan, I developed a keen interest in art and banjara artwork. As a result, I wanted to do something to support Indian embroidery and culture.

What are the challenges that you faced in your journey and are still facing?
Giving this old craft a platform and spreading awareness about Indian embroidery were challenges I faced along the way. Also, many people I meet daily don't seem to take women seriously because they think I am young and naive about my field which is untrue.

Where do you see yourself after five years from now?
As a brand, we continue to export products and spread awareness of Indian embroidery throughout the world but I would like more people in India and abroad to embrace our traditional Indian crafts - manship.

Talk to us about your achievements.
My accomplishments include encouraging women in gaining financial independence and appreciating their work. We have also received mentions in various media outlets that support local businesses, including Women's era, local nation, local samosa, girlbuzz, etc

Any message that you would like to give to upcoming entrepreneurs?
One piece of advice that I'd give to aspiring entrepreneurs is to explore your passions and work from the bottom of y o u r heart.
