Tell us something about yourself.

My name is Akanksha Datta and I am from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. I am currently settled in Gurugram. I have done post-graduation in English Literature and Political Science. I love reading books and I am a professional storyteller. I am also working as a model.

What inspired you to become an influencer cum model?

I believe in leading by example and that comes with inspiring and motivating people by being true to myself and my work. Barkha Nangia provided me with a platform named Glamour Gurgaon through which I earned the crown of Mrs Delhi NCR, 2019.

What are the challenges that you faced?

Everyone faces a different set of challenges in life but staying focused and determined is the key. I was always a go-getter and headstrong woman who believed in herself. The fashion world was new to me and I was apprehensive about certain things. However, the training and grooming sessions during the pageant were enough to overcome any challenge. The journey so far has been phenomenal.

Where do you see yourself after five years from now?

I just want to enjoy every day of my life by constantly learning new skills. I wish to be happy and content with whatever I am pursuing. I wish to live a life of choice where I enjoy wholeheartedly what I do.

Tell us your achievements.

My crown has been a game-changer for me. I was invited as a chief guest and panellist at Rotary International District Conference Bhopal. I inaugurated art galleries in Delhi and even delivered a lecture at Lakmé Institute Gurugram, INIFD and Trinity College Jodhpur. I have walked the ramp for shows such as India Runway Week, Fascino Fashion Week and Community Service Awards Fashion Show, etc. I have been the muse for salons such as Lakmé, Looks, Bella Madonna, Olaplex, etc. I have been a jury member for beauty pageants like FAFA Plus Size and Mrs Delhi NCR.
