RADHIKA MADAN IN AND AS ‘SANAA’
Radhika Madan, who was last seen in Shiddat, Off lately, is hustling through schedules for her upcoming projects. Radhika has had a very busy year with multiple projects. She delivered a path-breaking performance as Didi in Netflix's short film Spotlight under the anthology Ray, which even won her multiple awards for her impactful performance. After that, she impressed the audience with her chirpy, lighthearted performance as an influencer in Netflix's 'Feels like Ishq.' Post winning the hearts of the audience with her performance in Shiddat, which emerged as one of the top-rated films on IMDb this year, Radhika marked another interesting project. Currently, the actress shared the first look of her upcoming next titled 'Sanaa.' Ahead of its World Premiere at the 26th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, Sudhanshu Saria’s much-awaited introspective drama 'Sanaa' has dropped its first poster. The intriguing poster introduces Radhika Madan and Sanaa, an ambitious and headstrong woman who is fighting an internal battle due to unresolved trauma. The actress looks commanding in a sharp corporate getup, shiny black heels and a slick side-parted hairdo. With her piercing gaze, she exudes grit and determination as she sits against an imposing backdrop.
'Sanaa' also stars Pooja Bhatt, Sohum Shah, Shikha Talsania, Nikhil Khurana and Navneet Nishan in pivotal roles. It is the only Indian film competing for The Grand Prix For Best Film at the ongoing 2022 Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Tallinn, Estonia. Director Sudhanshu Saria says, “I’m thrilled to finally present the first poster look of Sanaa to the world. It is a film about a feisty and powerful woman who is in complete control of her world until something unfolds to upset that balance. We wanted the poster to reflect Sanaa’s personality and unmatched dominion over her terrain. She is an unprecedented protagonist in our cinema and Radhika has portrayed her with utmost honesty and perfection.” Radhika Madan says, “Inhabiting the myriad dimensions of a character like Sanaa was one of the most thrilling experiences of my acting life. She is smart, unflinching, conflicted and emotional all at the same time. I also thoroughly enjoyed donning the girl boss look for this film. Viewers will witness a completely new side to me in Sanaa and I cannot wait for them to experience it.”
Radhika added, "There are times when you inhabit the character and there are times when the character just inhabits you. 'Sanaa' did the latter. I can't wait to share this experience with the world!" It is worth mentioning here that Radhika Madan has time and again broken the moulds of stereotypes to present interesting and unconventional characters through her films. Her upc o m i n g project also includes Kuttey with Arjun Kapoor.
