The glamorous trailer launch of ‘Ek Villain Returns’

The 2014 romantic - thriller film, ‘Ek Villain’ had taken the country by storm with its amazing pairing, beautiful songs, top-notch acting, an amazing story and a very scary villain. Now, as the film completes 10 years, director Mohit Suri comes with its sequel ‘Ek Villain Returns’ starring Arjun Kapoor, Tara Sutaria, John Abraham and Disha Patani.

The trailer of the upcoming thriller was released at a glamorous event graced by the cast and crew of the film. While Arjun and John came in looking stunning in black casual formals, Disha and Tara decided to bring some hotness to the floor. Disha looked breathtaking in a black two-piece dress while Tara was wearing a gorgeous black and white mini dress. As they posed with the classic yellow smiley masks, the cast looked every bit evil yet hot leads of the movie. Talking about assuming a grey character after his last outing ‘Dhoom’ in 2004, John revealed that it felt like a homecoming. “I first started films like Jism, Aitbaar, so, it is all about having a negative shade. For me, Mohit and my first film were together. Working with him again is really really special. He is a fantastic filmmaker.”

Arjun revealed that his character is unlike how he is in real life but it was fun to play something that he is not. “I would like to believe that I am not the rich, spoiled brat that Mohit has portrayed me as. But alas, sometimes characters suit you and connect with you. I have worked with Mohit before and I have full faith in him. I have played a hero before. So, getting a chance to play the villain, I am glad. I enjoyed doing it,” he said. Explaining her character, Tara stated, “I am playing a rockstar! You’ll obviously see more in the film but it was amazing to do this with Mohit and the music team. There is so much in store that lies ahead.”

Disha divulged that she plays a middle-class girl with a top-class attitude. The actress revealed, “She understands her charm and she uses it over men to get what she wants. She is not a good girl that a guy wants to take home but a bad girl that every man wants to have!” Mohit Suri, the director of the film said, “We all have at least that much bad within us. It was Ekta’s idea as she came to me and said ‘You have broken a lot of hearts of your heroes. Now break the hearts of your villain as well. Bring out their emotions because a villain cries too.’ I couldn’t get a better producer and a cast to make this film.” Ek Villain Returns starring Arjun Kapoor, Tara Sutaria, John Abraham and Disha Patani will release in theatres on July 29, 2022. The film is directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures and T-Series.
