The Married Woman

In today’s digital era, balancing the notion of responsibility and creativity is complicated in the entertainment business.

But in an upcoming Alt Balaji show, ‘The Married Woman’ featuring Ridhi Dogra and Monica Dogra, Ekta Kapoor and the team has managed to maintain that thin line between responsibility and creativity by producing yet another progressive and pathbreaking piece of content. ‘

The Married Woman’ is an urban relationship drama about women and their conditioning levied by society and her search to find herself. In an exclusive interview with City First, Ridhi and Monica shared their journey during the show and how proud they are to be a part of it!

When asked about the show, Monica said, “I was blown away when I read the script. I think the story is relatable to everyone. Everyone has that time in life when they question their own system, cross boundaries, learn new things and accept evolution.”  

Ridhi added, “I always wanted to play a character that I am proud of. Playing the character of ‘Astha’ was the biggest decision in that way. The story quietly sneaks into the heart and mind of a very ordinary woman and her journey. We all can relate to that time where we question ourselves and witness evolution.”

The show stars actors Suhaas Ahuja, Divya Seth Shah, Nadira Babbar and Imaad Shah. It has been directed by Sahir Raza.

While talking about the sexual orientations and fear of coming out, the actresses said, “Fortune favours the brave.

We believe in everyone’s right to choose. It might be hard, but what’s is easy? If you keep choosing the truth, you’ll eventually your space. Besides, its always better to do what your heart says then living in what-ifs.”
