13 held for illegal refilling following Jodhpur tragedy

Jodhpur: Jodhpur police arrested 13 persons and recovered 88 domestic cylinders, 12 motor pipes, 12 electronic weighing machines and two auto rickshaws in a special campaign against illegal gas refilling in the city, following an cylinder blast incident that took life of 4 in city on Saturday.

The campaign was launched on direction by police commissioner Ravidutt Gaur. District special teams of Jodhpur east and west took joint action under the supervision of ACP Nazim Ali Khan and ACP west Harphool Singh.

ACP east Deravar Singh and ACP Prem Dhandev were also present during the action. The police arrested 13 persons including three women. Those who were arrested include Shahrukh, Sanju, Bidami, Vidya, Abdul, Sabir, Sohel, Narpat Gujar and others.

CM Ashok Gehlot expressed condolence on the incident that left 4 persons dead and 16 injured. Minister incharge Subhash Garg also expressed condolences and directed officials for better treatment of the injured.
