ACB nabs Sarpanch & Ward Panch with Rs 50K

Jhalawar: ACB Jhalawar unit arrested Sarpanch Manish Kumar Nagar at Bapawar Kala, Kota on Saturday while taking a bribe of Rs 50,000.

Additional Director General of Anti-Corruption Bureau Hemant Priyadarshi (Addl. Charge Director General) said that the ACB received a complaint that Nagar demanded bribes in lieu of not getting an Anganwadi building constructed on his land and issued a lease.

The ACB, under the supervision of the Superintendent of Police, Kota, Alake Srivastava, verified the details and laid a trap to arrest Nagar. The accused called victim to a private house near Bapawar bus stand to collect bribe amount. There in an office, Ward Panch Dhanraj Meghwal counted 50 thousand rupees and kept it on top of the papers in the middle drawer of the table.

As soon as the signal was received here, the ACB caught him. A probe is on in the case.
