Birla seeks proper survey for flood victims

Kota: Not a single person who has been affected in the floods after the recent heavy rains should be deprived of compensation and the officers should ensure proper survey in each village, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla told Kota collector OP Bunkar and Bundi collector Ravindra Goswami on the damage caused due to recent heavy rainfall and floods on Saturday.

Birla had called a meeting of the officials of both the districts and the village sarpanch at the Lok Sabha camp office on Saturday evening. In the meeting, Birla told the officers that whenever such a situation arose in the previous years, many people were either deprived of compensation or got less compensation due to the shortcomings of the survey. This time such a situation should not arise. Meanwhile, with the efforts of LS Speaker Om Birla, a defence exhibition and conclave will be organized in Kota on September 11 and 12. Dussehra ground of Kota has been decked up for event.
