BJP councillor in ACB net for taking bribe

Ajmer: Ajmer ACB team under the leadership of DSP Rakesh Meena, arrested Mahesh Ranka, BJP councillor of Bijaynagar Municipality, while taking a bribe of Rs 30,000. The team has also arrested the councillor’s brother. Ranka became a topic of discussion among the people as soon as the information spread about him being caught by the ACB. Meena said that in the past, the contractor of the Municipal Council, Arun Joshi, complained that in lieu of passing the bill for the road construction work done by him, the councillor demanded Rs 30,000 from him. The ACB team later verified the complaint and laid a trap and arrested the BJP councillor while taking the bribe from the contractor.
