Bureau nabs Sarpanch in Sikar with Rs 2.10L, ASI held with Rs 10K in Bhilwara

Sikar: The ACB Jaipur Rural team on Friday arrested Shravan Kumar, Sarpanch Gram Panchayat Jaitusar in Sikar red handed while taking bribe of Rs 2.10 lakh in lieu of paying the outstanding bills of the construction works done by the firm of the complainant and to return the earnest money. The accused had sought 20 percent commission from the complainant, said a bureau official. A team led by DIG ACB, Jaipur, Dr Vishnukant and ASP Jaipur Rural Ahad Khan verified complaint and arrested the sarpanch. In another trap in Bhilwara, ACB Chittorgarh unit on Friday arrested red handed Assistant SI Vijay Singh posted at Subhash Nagar police station herewhile he was taking a bribe of Rs 10,000. The bribe was sought in lieu of not taking any action in case against the complainant and getting the matter settled. The accused had demanded Rs 22,000.
