Dalit man abducted, killed in Barmer, family refuses to take body

Barmer: A 32-years-old dalit man was allegedly abducted and beaten to death in Rajasthan’s Barmer district. Deceased’s body was recovered on Tuesday morning from the roadside under Kalyanpur police station area in Barmer. His legs and hand were tied with a rope, police said. Till the last report post-mortem of the body could not be done as deceased family and community members were demonstrating and refused to take the body till the arrest of all accused. According to the information, a passerby noticed a body thrown on the roadside and informed the police, after which police reached there. Police said deceased was identified as Tagaram Meghwal. Meanwhile, as the news spread, hundreds of people from Meghwal’s community gathered there and launched a protest.
